LEONID AGUTIN RETURNS TO MONTREUX!

“LEONID AGUTIN GALA NIGHT” – unprecedented event and a part of “Russian Nights in Switzerland”, will be held on 12th of December, 2015 in Fairmont Le Montreux Palace Hotel.

The concert of Leonid Agutin, singer and song-writer, his group “Esperanto”, known and sought after in Russia and beyond, will take place in magnificent banquet-hall Petit Palais.

We are happy to invite all of the fans of Russian bard songs and French chansons to a traditional “tea-party” organized by Association “Riviera-Russe“.  Natalia Balachova, a great singer, will be performing live great bard songs and chansons hits.

She will feature famous works of such composers as Bulat Okudzhava, Novella Matveeva, Eugene Bachurina, Sergey Nikitin and many others both in Russian and French.

MASLENITSA 2015

Dear Friends! Once again we said “Good Bye” to the winter and welcomed spring by an extraordinary celebration of Maslenitsa.

This year more people joined the celebration, we definitely had more fun and the pancakes were super delicious! Everyone, from children to adults, could share the happiness of taking part in competitions. The culmination of the festival was the traditional burning of an effigy of Maslenitsa and unification of everyone in traditional happy dance to the native songs.

Comedy Club Russia Has Taken Montreux by Storm

December 6, the first time in the 25-year history of the Montreux Comedy Festival took place on an unprecedented event – an evening of Russian humour with “residents” of the most popular comedy show of Russia – Comedy Club.

01 The event, which took place in one of the most prestigious and historical hotels in the city of Montreux, was attended by Russian-speaking residents of the most remote parts of not only Switzerland, Europe and Russia. Concert started with the opening speech of the Mayor of Montreux – Mr. LAURENT WEHRLI.
Mr. ALEKSANDR GOLOVIN, Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Russian Federation in Swiss Confederation and Principality of Liechtenstein, expressed appreciation to organisators:

“…whose efforts enabled the organization and conduction of “Russian Nights in Switzerland” one of the most significant events project in Russian-Swiss relationships in the cultural sphere…”

The host of the evening Nezlobin Alexander, the Star of the Comedy Club Russia, shared his enormous energy and intellectual humour with the audience.

Musical comedy lit the guests faces with smiles by famous musical humorous hits. The leader of the Russian charts “Gas Oil” became the apotheosis of the music program and made every single guest burst in laughter.

And the biggest surprise of all was the appearance on the scene of the deputy Yegor Batrudov (Timur Batrudinov) with his inaugural speech as a candidate for the
presidency of the European Union.

Russian Comedy Night marked the beginning of a series of events “Russian Nights in Switzerland”. Organizers are preparing a lot of surprises during 2015. Follow our website.

Details

As part of the water festival, will set a holiday table with fruit desserts, useful and tasty drinks, sweets.

We will present the direct culprit celebration – of Neptune, and all his numerous retinue, which includes devils and mermaids. Heroes of the holiday will be naughty and have fun, because their task is to pull more people into the water, wet or splash guests. Please grab swimsuits and towels!

The festival program consists of two parts: the sports, entertainment and gaming. You will enjoy the fun, mischievous holiday, filled with a variety of contests and competitions, loved both by children and adults.

 

 

History of the festival

Neptune Holiday, sometimes – “Neptune Day”. Water festival Takes the basics of the tradition of sailors crossing the equator. According to established tradition, everyone crossing the equator for the first time on the sea, will be initiated. Newbie is bathed in seawater (or thrown it in the pool, as during cruise), then he crawls through the dirt compartment, smeared with engine oil. After that, he gets a print of Neptune and a certificate of passing the tradition.

At the next intersection of the equator one is exempt from the ritual upon presentation of “identity.”

Much less a holiday is arranged in “crossing the line” – Tropic, the Arctic Circle, Date Line.

RUSSIAN ROMANCE

The second “Tea in the Palace” took place on May 1, 2014 in Lausanne Palace.

At this time, the evening was dedicated to the Russian romance. The audience was able to fully enjoy the concert filled with creations of Rachmaninoff, Chaykovskiy, Glinka, folk composers. Excursion into history of the romance revealed its secrets, not only to our Swiss guests but many Russian ones as well.

Anaida Aghajanian (vocals) and Liana Khachatryan (piano) filled the hearts of those present with enjoyment of this beautiful genre, bliss of nostalgia, memories, love.

An unexpected surprise was the cordial birthday greeting of the guest, who was among the guests, the house “Natkina.”
We sincerely thank our sponsor – Jewelry House “Natkina” for providing the prize. Also, our sponsors, Mr. Paul FICHAUX and ALANA Bosco, who made this evening possible and brought to its guests the joy of communicating, new knowledge and enjoyment of art.
The next “Tea Party” will be devoted to Russian Animation in general, as well as the rich heritage of the genre Vladimir Bobrov, Russian cartoon artist.

In the evening you can also meet and ask questions directly to the Swiss lawyer, an honored guest of the evening.
It was not without surprises. Prize from the jewelry house “Natkina” – lovely earrings in white gold got to the winner of the lottery – Victoria Lombardo.
